– General Introduction –
Jonas Mols, better known as his online moniker 'OtB_RedBaron', is a Belgian professional poker player. His exact age is unknown, but he's estimated to be in his early 30's.
Mols is widely regarded as one of the best online cash game players in the world. According to the online high stakes cash game database, he won over$2 million at the highest stakes NLHE cash tables on PokerStars, playing over 250,000 hands between April 2012 and May 2018.
However, that doesn't mean he stopped playing – rather, the site stopped tracking. Mols still battles in online cash games on the highest stakes against the likes of Timofey 'trueteller' Kuznetsov and Linus Loeliger. The crazy hands they've played against each other have captured the attention of the onlinepoker community.
In live tournaments, Mols is yet to put together an impressive scoresheet. He cashed for $57,749, which is low for a professional player, even if his primary focus is online cash games.

Virtually nothing is known about Mols' life before poker, or how he got into the game. There's no interview available with the Belgian pro anywhere on the internet.
What we do know is on September 12th, 2012 a user by the username 'LorenzoVMatterhorn' and with famous actor Niel Patrick Harris as their profile picture created a thread with the title 'Destroying 500NL Zoom, minichallenge' in the Two Plus Two Forum's 'Poker Goals & Challenges' section. His first post read:
'Ran and played pretty bad last 5-6 weeks, so gonna try to up my volume and motivation a bit by starting this minichallenge.
I'm gonna grind 100k hands of 500NL Zoom in the next 20 days at minimum 6 EV bb/100
I will post some graphs every few k hands, post the most interesting/ridiculous hands and berate the sunrunners.
sn Otb_RedBaron and starting the grind right now.'
The user, who later was revealed to be Jonas Mols, a Belgian poker pro living in England, remained active in the thread for almost exactly one year.
On September 4th, 2013 he posted in the thread for the last time. He wrote about his ventures into live poker, saying: 'Rarely play live, had some decent results there but that was in low buyin (<2k) and small field events and lost all those profits in my only Vegas trip. irl name not out on public forums (like to keep it that way), but its not exactly top secret who I am.'
Then he posted his final graph about his 100K-hand challenge, showing a $120,000 profit over 400K hands instead of the proposed 100K.
By the time of his last post, OtB_RedBaron regularly played at high stakes NLHE cash tables on PokerStars.
→ Live Tournaments ←
Mols has $57,749 in live tournament winnings, according to his Hendon page. That is very little for a professional player, even if they focus on online cash games instead of live tournaments.
His profile has 6 recorded live ITM finishes – most of which come from before he started regularly playing high stakes cash online in 2013.
The first score on his scoresheet is from December 2011. He finished 10th in the €1,700 NLHE Main Event at the Belgian Poker Series and won €10,300.

The next month, in April 2012, he took down the £550 NLHE High Roller at the Genting Poker Series also in London. He got £8,900 for his victory in what was most likely the smallest buy-in 'high roller' event in the poker world.

Jonas Mols has only cashed in one World Series event so far.
In 201ö, he came in 99th in a field of 815 entries for $7,618 in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em 6-Handed event. That was his first recorded live result in 7 years – it's also the last of his to date.

Mols hasn't appeared on any TV shows or live streams where he played cash games in front of an audience.

'OtB_RedBaron'is one of the most recognizable screen names in onlinepoker. He's known in the onlinepoker community for consistently playing and winning in the highest games online cash games for years.
The online high stakes cash game database has 255,857 hands tracked on his PokerStars account. In that sample, he's up $2.093 million, which puts him in the top 30 biggest online cash winners in the site's database.
Jonas Mols's Birthplace
Mols mostly plays No Limit Hold'em, on stakes as high as $200/$400. His tracked samples were played between April 2012 and May 2018.
His biggest recorded pot won is from May 2015. He played a 3-handed $200/$400 NLHE pot against poker legend Phil Ivey, playing under the screen name 'RaiseOnce', and Alex 'Kanu7' Millar.
Having been dealt in the big blind, he rivered a straight against Kanu7's top pair, and thus took down a massive, $246,107 pot.
Mols doesn't have any recorded online MTT results. A player under the screen name 'OtB_RedBaron' has made a few big cashes on WSOP.com – however, that's not Mols. Even though the screen name is identical to Mols', down to the letter capitalization, that account actually belongs to a man named Thomas Lim. Presumably, he's a big fan of the Belgian online pro.

His crazy hands against LLinusLLove
In December 2018, popular poker YouTuber Joe Ingram decided to make two videos about the crazy plays Mols and Swiss pro Linus 'LLinusLLove' Leoliger made against each other at the $50/$100 heads-up NLHE table on Stars.
In one hand, OtB_RedBaron called a $4,500 all-in beton the river holding nothing but a pocket Tens on a board of . Luckily for him, he turned out to be correct, as LLinusLLove was betting all three streets as a bluff with 4-5 of hearts…
A few weeks later, Ingram made another video about a compilation of insane hands played in super high stakes cash games – once again, featuring our hero, OtB_RedBaron.
